Nice.

If you guys are faithfully gonna try and compete....you have to get on it and be the first to bust the challenges because there worth double the points.  The way it worked on the PS3 last contest, the 2 challenge clips were posted at 10:00PM EST and were x2 points.  Once there were busted by the first person, the challenge is considered a "complete" and you only get single points as opposed to x2.

The 9 hole challenges were a joke on the PS3 side last contest, but the others were tough...the water skip on Firestone, the HIO on Westchester #1, and the Princeville cartpath shot gave me fits for about 30 minutes each.

Gl Den & everyone else who's trying

Actually, fat chance of winning anything (with the amount of shanking I do on the 360, it takes me a while to get the trick shots down )  First to bust each challenge gets double points....which would leave me out of the running

On the Challenge 1 you had to bounce off the cartpath 7 times and go past 498 yds...several times I hit the cartpath and rolled to 600 yards but each time it recorded as OB ...anyone else have this problem?

...not sure, but I think it was in that 1st contest earlier this month as well (might be the one you referenced above).  cartpath is on the left side of fairway...way down the end, there is a utility shack that sort of serves as a marker.

...EDIT:  nevermind---it's Carnoustie hole #6

Are you really in 2nd place so far?

I think my strategy would be to do the 9 hole first (if they both start at 10est)...if they're as easy as SPEC said I would try to fly thru that 9 as fast as possible just to get double the points.  Seems like the trick shots take time and someone could get lucky early while you're still trying ... then you're screwed on the 9 hole challenge.

Carnoustie front 9, the first Par 5.  The last contest was 12 bounces for 580+ yds with a stop zone (with a 4 wind in your face blowing at 5:00).

Definatley a different approach there.  With the shot on the PS3 side last contest I hit a full loft 10.5 121% and turned the spin over at 1:00 and got it...but not sure if that will fly with that challenge.

Yup, gotta grab the 9 holers for sure as soon as there posted and there usually worth more points than the trick shots anyway.

You put up a 2nd place trophy, I thought you might have been hinting at your position.

I am tied for 3rd with everyone who didn't get on early enough to bust them. On the cart bounce one I kept hitting it over 600 yards which was out of bounds. If I wasn't going out of town SB weekend, I would try try to start at 7 each day to have a chance, but I would probably forget half the time anyway. Good luck to anyone who is in it to win it.

I wish I could try to enter it... but even if I break posted challenges it never registers any points or the successful completion for me.

...think there were only about 35 players listed from 1st to 3rd place (as of 2 am est)...so not really a large number so far

GL Dendo. Go for it.   And to think...I held down first place for a while on the PS3...with a considerable lead. I gave up because I had the same problems as Schriney. Several times I would bust challenges but not get the points.  If SW spent as much time as I did when I was at the top...he clearly would have been in first place. Absolutely follow SW's advice. Attack the 9/18 hole challenges first. Now go after that car!
