First and foremost, enjoy yourselves, have fun, and play with good sportsmanship. The league will be split into FOUR POOLS for International play. We will play TWO matches per week in Season III, a home and home for each match up. You will have one week after the current week's schedule is posted to complete your matches. There will be contact threads for scheduling times and dates for matches. If a match is not completed for the current week and a reason why has not been sent via pm to myself or posted in the contact threads, then that match will be forfeited by the team that failed to make an effort to complete it. Match Type: Unranked Length of Halves: Six minutes All League Matches are ladder matches. Please report losses to the ladder in a timely fashion. Scoring: Three points for a win, one for a tie, none for a loss Should a match be tied after regulation then the match will be scored a draw, and both teams will receive a point. Disconnections If a match is disconnected then the following will apply: In the first half - restart the match. In the second half - play one half and include the score at the time of the disconnect. We're all grown, so I don't expect this to be a problem. Use common sense and come to an agreement. At the end of the season, the top two teams from each pool will advance to the final tournament. The final tournament will be a home and home for each match up and aggregate score will decide who advances. If the aggregate is tied after regulation of the second match, then extra time and penalty kicks will decide the winner. Slide Tackling I understand it's a part of the game, and when used correctly is a great defensive tool. However, excessive slide tackling is not and shouldn't be part of this league. Slide tackling after loss of possession (out of frustration) is unacceptable. Slide tackling a striker on a breakaway to prevent a goal, in my opinion, can be a smart play. It may cost the defensive player a yellow or red card, but does prevent the other team from scoring. That's a case of risk-reward. Please adjust your play accordingly. Good luck, and enjoy.
