Maybe MOMO could enlighten us as to how 24-2 is possible...  lol.  FN man.

I've gone 9-2, 7-3...  nothing like that though.

How I've gotten better -

1)  Use the chaff (whatever it's called)  white sparkles confuse missles.
It's a must to learn to flip right on the directional pad, and tap L1.

2)  Use terrain and buildings to get in the way of the missles.  Fly low.

3)  Get used to using two fingers for turbo and MG fire.
Those guns are a deadly companion to a few locked missles.

4)  Get to know the environment and spawn locations of health, missles,
and white sparkles. Lots of white sparkles.

5)  I've watched people dance around missles though, thats amazing.
It's probably a double lutz, with a half rolling triple loop...
    Or something like that.

I just feel good being over 500 in the sky at this point.  Happy flyin'.

Thats a pretty good breakdown, Z. These are the main things I consider.

1) As soon as I take ANY damage, I am looking for a health icon.

2) I whore the crap out of the Floating Mines and always try to place them near the enemy spawn point - ie: in TDM, I fly to the opponents side of the map and drop them over there.  I try to avoid dropping them on weapon/health spawns in TDM so that I dont kill my own team mates - but in regular DM I will always put them on one.  All in all 25-50% of my kills come from Mines.

3) As Z pointed out, use the terrain to avoid missles and evade attackers.  ie: @ the Destroyed Capital, I will use the buildings.  If I am being persued, I will fly in circles around the building until my enemy is disoriented.  THis also works well with the canyons in the Badlands or Mountains in the other maps.

4) ALWAYS USE THE RADAR.  When a target begins to perform evasive maneuvers, dont try to follow him.  But rather, make a quick climb straight up into the air and then flip back down towards the direction he flew on your radar.  Quite often the opponent will spend so much time performing evasive maneuvers that he actually disorients himself from you - he is still spinning in circles trying to find you and has no clue that you are coming straight down on top of him for the kill.

5) Use your guns A LOT.  Anytime I see the aiming icon turn red, my guns start blaring.  Quite often you can get in enough gun hits before the missle gets to him, resulting in an easy missle kill.  You can also get a lot of cheap kills using guns.  An opponent who is low on health from a previous fight will go down in moments - I have more gun kills than any weapon.

6) Steal kills.  If you see 1 plane tailing another... shoot at the one being persued.  Chances are his health is damaged from the other guy shoting at him and you can often steal the kill.

7) As Z said, take FULL advantage of the White Sparkles at all times.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Also, if anyone wants to jump into the passenger seat with me during a regular TGV deathmatch, that would be fine.  It might give a closer perspective to how I fly.
