first off welcome to the madness. Now to get ranked all you need to do is go online find one of the great people on this site and off you go. The way to get ranked higer is to beat people ranked higher then you and eventually be number 1 on the ladder( oh that was a great 2 weeks for me). If you need anything else just let us know.

Just so you are aware if you play members from this site you are required to report the loss to the ladder if you lose. If you win you get the honor of not having to report anything! LOL
