Here is a link to the ladder. Please post in here with any questions you may have. http://www.thegamesvillage.com/ladder_old/ladder.php?ladderid=85 You can also access the ladder by clicking the link at the top of these forums. Before you can join any ladders you need to create a user account Our Ladder System facilitates you being able to play multiple game titles with different stats for each game. This means that the system works slightly differently to other ladders in that you need to take two steps to join the ladder. The first step is to create a User Account and the next is to create a 1 person team for each game you want to play in. For example if I am playing in Tiger Woods and NHL 2005 I will create myself ONE User Account called Scotia650 and then I will create a 1 person team for Tiger Woods ladder and a 1 person team for NHL 2005. Both teams will also be called Scotia650. This allows you to be a member of multiple ladders with only ONE user account. Below are some instructions on how to create your User Account Creating A Ladder User Account: Only Do This Step Once! CLICK HERE to go to the ladder Under "Player Manager" on the left click "New Play Signup" Fill in the fields with valid information and hit "Create My Account" Ensure you use the same name as your forum username! Validate Your User Account: You should be sent a validation email shortly after sign up Click the link in the mail which will take you to the screen and will prepopulate the field with the validation number. If you dont click the link you will have go to the ladder and under "Player Manager" click "Validate Account" and enter the validation code in the email Your Player Account is now created and active Once you have created your User Account you need to join the ladders you want to play in. To join a ladder you need to create a team for each ladder. For 1v1 games you create a 1 person team. For other games like NHL you will be informed how many people per team you need for that ladder for example the 2v2 ladder will require one person to create the 2 person team and then join another user to that team. Users can not create Clans - Clans will be created by TGV staff! Creating a 1 Person Team: To join a team you should login with your new User Account details. You will now see more options under the Player Manager heading. Click on "Join A Ladder" - I will use Tiger Woods as an example. Select the ladder you want to join from the pull down. Enter the same name as your user account for example Blue52 Leave the tag field empty! Fill in the other necessary fields Click "Join Ladder" You have now created a 1 person team that is a member of that ladder! If you wish to join a multi player team ladder, for example the NHL 2v2 then you should read the Creating Multi Person Teams FAQ in this forum! Remember you report losses by Report ID not name! Below are the default rules for playing in random ladder matches. Note: All TGV ladder matches must be set to a long clock. If the clock is not long, the match is not a ladder match unless otherwise agreed upon before the event. Best Case Scenario: It is HIGHLY recommended that you have a short discussion before playing your match with regards to how you will be scoring it. You can choose to either allow style point to be the tie breaker, or ignore style points all together and risk having a stroke tie. Worst Case Scenario: If no conversation occurred, or an agreement cannot be reached, POINTS DO NOT BREAK TIES. If you encounter this situation and the match resulted in a tie for total strokes, the match is a wash and does not get reported to the ladder. Nutshell: We here at TGV have never had issues with arguing about ladder wins for the simple fact that our membership is the friendliest group on the net. If we practice common sense, common courtesy and good communication as we always have, there should be no problems. If you do have a problem with one of your matches or opponents, contact a site moderator/administrator and we will help you deal with the situation in the fairest way possible. Thank you all for your continued dedication and support!
