Status: online 		Seems funner to me than Resistance.

The variety of ways to play seem to lend itself to a very long shelf life.

I think this might be the game that makes people holding off on buying a PS3 actually step up and make the commitment.

I am not a shooter kind of guy - never have been - but this game is awesome.

Status: offline 		....Battles in the air and on the ground options as well as ground vehicles (ie. TANKS) give a lot of varibility to this game --that other games simply don't have.

I think the versatility is terrific with the land/air combo's - and the gameplay styles also seem to cator exactly to what we enjoy around here for group play.

The fact that it does not have match-making or an in-game messaging system are what kept it at a score of 8 for me.

Thats a loaded question, Redd  

For TGV Head-to-Head Online Fun... yes, it is better than Resistance imho.  I could see this replacing the R:FoM on Saturday night, eventually - but it's not versitle enough with match-making to replace Tuesday night.

Status: offline 		I gave it a 9.  It would have got a 10 for the same reasons MOMO stated: "The fact that it does not have match-making or an in-game messaging system are what kept it at a score of 8 for me."

A download bargain...if you got the money...download it...we all at TGV will have a blast playing it together.

You can chat and BS while playing, you just have to press L3, which is fine once you get used to it.

I voted 8 for the same reasons stated above.

Status: offline 		I give it an 8/10...the only thing stopping it from being a 10 is the lack of a single player campaign.

I love the ground combat and the sound of the anti aircraft guns. All of the movements are so smooth and the graphics are amazing no matter what your doing

I'm slowly starting to learn how to fly and had a blast playing in some dog fights last night.

This is the best downloaded game ever released for the PS3 and a sign of things to come. It's a huge step forward for Sony in there plans for world domination Soon they will release more games through the store and cut out the middle man and be able to pocket all the distribution costs. SOCOM is the next heavy hitter that will available for downloadable

Status: offline 		I gave it a rateing of 7 out of 10. The gameplay is great, the graphics are great. Only things that are kind of a let down are not being able to create a party to join into ranked games, unranked has zero stats tracked and the flying... Now I know what you're saying, "What the hell do you mean the flying??". Well I've been an avid fighter pilot game fan for quite a while now(can't wait for ace combat on ps3) and the flight mechanics are a bit simplified for my liking. The flight controlls are a lot like StarFox was for Nintendo64. I'd like to see some yaw controlls and not being able to do quick turn maneuvers so easily with the use of the right stick. Most flight games I've played controll pretty realistically i.e. the left stick controlls roll with left/right movement and pitch with up/down movement. Performing rolling u-turns and the like were a little more challenging than holding back on the right stick and letting go in the apex of the flip. The hover feature rocks tho.. dig that a lot. Oh, and the binoculars to call in air strikes..really cool.

The gameplay is a blast, especially when we have a TGV room going and we are all killing each other left and right. I can see Warhawk Saturday nights being a lot of fun if that happens!

It is hard to compare it RFOM becuase as far as shooters go Resistance is my first love and you never forget your first love. Having said that, Warhawk is just plain fun, I can't say it any better than that. The advantage it has over Resistance is the incredible variety of gameplay - ground combat, air combat and heavy artillery. The weapons are cool (I am a total Rifle whore) and the graphics are incredible.

I agree with everyone about the negatives - the lack of an apparent team match making system is unfortunate. It seems like this game would have a lot of potential for awesome team matches with the CTF and Zone games. I can picture some really strategic games with a combination of aerial assaults a artillery and ground campaign but there doesn't appear to be any way to make ranked clan matchups. I personally don't like jumping in team games with people i don't know so unless we can get a lot of TGVers to play team matches I may not play many of those. The lack of an in game messaging system is a negative as well. Perhaps they were anticpating a system update with in-game XMB which would go really well with this game.

A couple of negative aside, this game rocks and I hope everyone who played Resistance will get Warhawk so we can have some huge battles!

Status: online 		You guys are tough reviewers.  

I won't be buying this game because I don't see it withstanding the nuclear bomb that COD4 will be dropping in November.  I know 100% that I am missing out on a fantastic game and good times and it sucks, but, poop happens.  If I did not own a PS3 and was in the market for one, this game would definitely put me over the edge.  I can say that from playing the beta alone.  But, currently I'm not in the market for anything.

I think getting together in ranked matches is more possible than many think.
My buddy and I get together in the same ranked game when he comes over...
...And do team games HAVE to be ranked?? I thought we're playin for fun.
Set up something unranked and we can still definitely all play together.
Theres also a chance I may be able to host ranked games from my parents home too...

I doubt I'll hear or see any bombs from COD4, since I'll be sky high.

The textures and graphics are awe inspiring...
The lack of a message system is the main downfall in the game.
Which is why I offered my cell# to anyone who wants to crack heads together.

P$ - turning69 - was kicking some team booty the other night, I got killed a lot.
Hopefully they take to COD4 too, due to the difficulty in get togethers...
CTF is fun, fun, fun!!  ZNS is awesome too...  The maps are HUGE, and gorgeous.
EXPANSIVE - is one word description.

If you don't like the firefights, you can help a team by staying low-key, landmine the base and hideout
...snipe from a mountainside, you can gaurd a bridge, or a road...  Possibilities are endless.
I still think this game could be turned into flight racing as well, using icons and tunnels as guides for a route

Aside from TW04, I've never loved any game more.
It's going to remain the cream of the crop for quite a while I believe.
It would be like trying to top TW04...
...and I can't say any more than that.

Sorry so long, I'm passionate.  (of course you all already knew that)
