Search & Destroy

This is pretty much the only game mode I play anymore...
Plus....  I wear my headphones now as well, the experience is just intense.

My post is to anyone who might want to play along with me.
No headset or convo's, but send me an invite, and I'll return an invite within 10 min.

Sure, they call my puzzy, and camper, it's hilarious hearing them pronounce zbalata.
But my record's aren't too bad, and I have a heck of a lotta fun...

PSN names - zbalata / zbaIata / neozsniper

I think I lost a bunch of people from my friends list.
My new PS3 doesn't seem to have the full list.
Anyway, hit me up if ya want anyone.  Let's S&D.

Tomorrow evening the saga continues...

That's pretty funny, I've been playin COD wearing headphones for quite some time now. I recently had to get a new pair cuz the game blew the speakers in the wireless ones I had. I love how you can hear your own guys' breath when you run.. other peoples' footsteps, clips rattling and what not. If you've got the dead silence perk on and are playing with a decent pair of headphones with a silenced weapon.... it's easy to be hated in the game.

S&D... I still play COD, and while I pretty much suck at S&D, I'm down to play whatever. I'm getting better at S&D having been playing it a bit more. I've been stuck in the deathmatch type gameplaying for so long that an actual tactical game is pretty much a foreign cancept. Always down to snipe some folks

The Bose QC3 I bought are absoultely amazing with this game.

Its especially true in S&D when the initial chaos settles down and it gets quiet.  Strategy can change however all based on the opponent.  Sometimes I go gunnin'...  sometimes I plant claymores, lay down next to some cover and smoke one until something hits the fan.

You're hired!  lol   I see ya poppin' on 'n off at times...
Just send me an invite whenever you're ready to S&D.
I'll hit ya back after the game I'm in.

Whenever my buddy is playing along as neozsniper, we keep a mic plugged in so he doesn't hear all the childish garbage.  Just a heads up.

Good games tonight Z. Sorry I couldn't have been a bit more help, but as stated above I pretty much suck at S&D. Started feelin the flow after a bit though and did manage to snipe out that whole team (i think) on Ambush.

Most likely see you on tomorrow night if you're there...
Same bat time,
Same bat channel...

have you guys tried playing the smaller team tactics mode? i love playing S + D with only 6 people. I am not a patient person, so running about like i tend to do, gets me capped pretty quick.

with fewer adversaries and with silent feet, i can afford to be super aggressive and attack the other team in a way they may not be prepared for.

3 player teams are cool, but sorta like training wheels for the big show.
...and I can do without domination.  As a 'war' game, I think the concept is pretty lame.

Domination isn't bad if you hang back and let the rest of your team take the flags while you 'nade the opposing teams' people while they try to take flags... other than that, I can take or leave domination. I don't mind it from time to time... when I want a really chaotic game I'll play domination

phooey on domination...

Called Charter about my upgrade this AM...
They hadn't hooked me up yet apparently, til now.

I ran a CLEAN & STABLE lobby of S&D this morning for about 2 hours.
Taking away the most irritating thing in the game... host quitters.

New maps coming...  this is gonna be awesome man!
Played some FFA last night B4 the upgrade...
Wouldn't you know it, connection error after my 10 kill streak.

The future looks much brighter now.      ....got shades?

Nice! A speed upgrade may be in order over here too.
...And yes, it is a little funny how the "connection interruptions" seem to happen when you're just laying waste to a team, or everyone else in the room if it's FFA

They seem to happen any time someone leaves the game or at least thats the way it is on the other console .....

Host Ended Game is obvious to explain.  He left, lol.

Connection Interruption happens for yes, various reasons.

However, it is 90%+ the case, that the host wasn't pleased with the results of his teams peformance in the field. Thus causing a spontaneous outburst of rage where they feel nobody deserves to win.  This act is completely selfish and disrespectful to the game and your opponents.

It happens surely & simply by using the PS button to end the game.  If people are stat lovers's, they've noticed that by leaving the game this way, you do not incur a loss on your record. Only everyone else does.

I understand we all get connection glitchs, but the timing and frequency states we got HUGE ego problems.
If someone thinks there is a lag issue, they should finish out the match and find a new one. Very simple.

...but my logic has always been along those lines.

Nope

Z it seems to happen anytime someone leaves the game .... it upsets the balance that exists with however many people are on ..... Ive seen the message so and so has left the game immediately following the connection interupted message ..... Ive gotten it very little playing the PS2 version though ..... it does seem as though host migration does not work for the PS3 at all ... is that the case ??

I don't agree with the balance assessment, simply because I've been in many unbalanced scenerios.

(6 vs 2)  (5 vs 1)  It's not frequent, but it can/does happen. My assessment is based on just what I've seen.

If I can run a lobby flawless, ppl comin n goin', balanced or not, without probs 1st try....    Poor hosts.

Plain n simple 2 me.   It may just be a great place to lay the blame Karl, I don't know.

Host Migration - Is that where someone else takes the Host position if they bail...?  (cough) I mean,
...have connection issues?  If so, it apparently works very little.

On a few occasions, the interrupted connection symbol came up, and would then go away.

Host migration where if the host leaves everyone does not getted booted out ... in the case of the 360 it will end the map but preserve the group and then usually starts up on a different map .... didnt experience it playing the PS3 version today so im not sure if it works the same way or not.

Host migration was supposed to be put in the patch that was already realeased. I guess they couldn't work all the ins- and outs of it tho. From what I understand, all it does is ranks every1's connection when making a game. If the designated host of the game leaves, the new host is the person with the next best connection. Rumor is that it was left out because of issues with worldwide players/host migration. Hopefully, they fix it soon. Of you're in a game where the host pulls and you get a loss, you can PS out real quick and not incur the loss from a game that went 30-25 or whatever..

OK.

Never seen that happen, ever.  Was playing w/ the brits this mornin'...  lol.

Anyway, I just bumped in an extra $5 a month so I can worry less about all that.

Time to S&D.
