:!: Please read this carefully and understand it

Please be assured that we are not restricting this just for the sake of it. We have tried to request that you follow these guidelines before and on the whole we have been ignored.

We have revising these guidlelines to accomodate the fact that we are now playing multiple games and you understandebly want to display images for those games.

However, you MUST stick to these guidelines as a maximum and we really dont want to be spending our time asking you to comply when we could be spending it making the site better which is a benefit to all of us.

We dont like to get heavy but we will with this. If seasoned members continue to ignore this rule then the facility will be turned off for everyone. We have stated this before but we will stand by it. If a new member breaks the rules they will be asked to read this thread. If you come across someone in breach of the rules then please feel free to politely pont them in this direction.

Maximum Sizes:

Sigs:

You are now allowed to take up no more than 640 pixels in width or 240 pixels in height. This could be 4x160 wide images or however many you like as long as you do not exceed 640 pixels or 240 pixels.

Byte count = Your total signature + avatar byte count must not exceed 100kb or 100,000 bytes

If you wish to add more images than you can fit into 640 pixles wide then you will just have to get creative and emalgamate some of them to reduce size.

Avatars:

Dimensions = 145px X 145px
Byte count + Signature can not exceed 100kb or 100,000 bytes

Team Logos:

Clan Logos MUST reference the game the Clan plays in.

Tag Team logos MUST reference the game the team plays in.

:!: If you are a seasoned member and have had ample time to review these rules your sig will simply be removed. If we have to do this on too many occasions, as stated above we will turn off all image functions on the site

Thanks for your understanding and i hope this doesn't detract too much from your enjoyment and appreciate that these guideines are for the benefit of ALL users.

We have been pretty lax on this rule for quite a while, but it's time to get everybody back in compliance with sig sizes.  As far as I can tell, everybody is fine on there byte count size, however, the visual size is being exceeded by a majority of the active membership.  Our old size allowed for 100 by 640 pixels, and we are now increasing that by more than double the size to 240 by 640.  If you're not sure on what size your sig is, right click on it and click properties and you should be able to see the byte size and the dimensions, all sigs in total can't exceed the 240 by 640 limits.

We will give people ample time to get their sigs resized, if you need help with it, just shout out, there are plenty of talented members here that I'm sure would be willing to help out.  If after a few days you are still over the limits, you will be PM'd as a reminder.

Here is a crude template of how big 240 by 640 pixels is....

Avatars:

Dimensions = 145px X 145px
Byte count + Signature can not exceed 100kb or 100,000 bytes

In a nutshell... the entire sig cannot consume more than 240x640.  You can have multiple pics but all of them combined should not take up more than that amount of space.

My sig, for an example, cannot be 100% accurately calculated due to the multiple items.. but I can visualize the grey box Tdawg posted and see that it is roughly that size.  Let common sense prevail.
