...was just a personal accomplishment considering last year my winning percentage was .360

...well tonight, after being ousted by Jesstolate from the WMPC quarterfinals in an OT nail-biter (great match Jess), sitting at #2 of the match ladder and having never been #1 before...I set my sights to find
!!!CASH!!!. Challenged him to frt 9 at Sherwood. We both holed #4 and somehow managed to pull out a win on the 9th when he missed his putt.

...finally, did I make it to #1???

....before the match ends, CASH types in "do I get to pick the next course?"

ontknow:

...I quickly respond/type >>>"Wait, can't I be #1 for just one day??"

...CASH types "best of 3?"....so I reluctantly accept knowing he'll quickly regroup and win the next 2 games 5-and-out....

...of course, CASH sends the challenge course-----a fantasy one>Emerald frt...

...I feel like the priest in Caddyshack having the game of his life ---but knowing that lightning will strike me down at the next 9.

...lo and behold, I go up 1 on a sweet DE on 2, but give it right back on the next hole.

On #5, I flop out to go up again.

...somehow I manage to get by that dreaded #7 unscathed. :cheers:

Heading to the 8th, CASH somehow dumps his snappy into the bunker then has trouble on the appraoch and barely misses the pitch-in.

Somehow, I have swept the Best-of-3 and attained #1 on the ladder... :occasion9

...something I didn't think I'd ever get to, much less before the '05 season ended with 1 week to go. :occasion7

WOot!!!

(yes, Hop, my other arm is now in a sling [[>:]otty2: )

p.s. I think I'll be on sabbatical 'til 06 comes out

It was a long time coming, but my quest came to an end last nght at the 3rd hole
at Emerald Dragon. The first couple of tries I didn't get the right wind. Third time,
perfect 2mph in the face, hit 4' past but spun it too much and lipped out. A couple of
tries later, good wind again, FB RS 6iron, 2 taps backspin ..... Drainooo !!!

That HIO gave me an ACE on all 57 par 3's in the game, plus over 30 par 4 holes.
I don't even remember what my score was, I was just praying for no disco or blackscreen.

Great Job Batt.

I am going to chime in also because on Tuesday at 0930 I holed the first par 3 at Troon! That gave me 100 HIO's! I know that isnt a lot to you guys but it is over double what I had last year. Though I had to accumulate them with my Online tourney man and my Regular CAG!
