I have been playing Tiger Woods Golf since 1998. I am a 62 year old man who believe it ot not really enjoys playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour. I have purchased and played 1998 / 2001 / 2003 / 2004 / 2005. But 2006 in my opinion was a real disappointment in so many ways. It just went away from everything that had been improved, especially 2004 and 2005. I am hoping 2007 will get back to the basics and superb quality that a Real Fan of Tiger Woods Golf has come to love. I would really like to see if I am the only one who was disappointed in 2006?

No you're not the only one who was disappointed Dr. Peale.

But, we created this site when 2004 went completely online and even tho 06 didn't shape up to our expectations we forge on anyway. We're junkies and the friendships built over the past 3 years are worth it to keep playing each other online.

Hopefully 2007 will return the series to it's glory and everyone will be happy.

Feel free to sign up for the forums and look around, chances are you'll find a new home to play this game.

you aint the only one Dr.about 65% of the online comunity as i have seen it are not playing this years version as much.i have been a die hard fan for many years as you.i am 36 and i have been playing it since tiger 99 was released on a regular basis.but i have somewhat shortened my playing hours conciderably this year.maybe they will give us a good version when 07 comes out. and welcome to the games vilage by the way sir.

haven't touched it since two months after it came out.....I am looking forward to a HUGE comeback from EA for this title...

I'm with Slick... I played 06 for about 2 months or so. Then I gave it away to SW. lol

for a decent 07.

What's up Doc....??..

Nice to see someone in my age group with the same gripes I and everyone else has with TW-06. Hang in there and hopefully TW-07 will be an improvement....meanwhile, sign into the site and ladders with your online name and join the fun....If the new edition of TW works out OK you'll have a blast.....groovey....

Hey Doc Hi and welcome to the site from another of the "senior" members .... total agreement on the high quality product for 06 .... it does sound like the 07 version will be better.
Like everyone else has suggested, sign up hang around a bit, I signed up in Dec of 03 .... man guess I like it around here

Well it sounds like I hit the nail on the head about TW 06. It does have some interesting features and hopefully these can be improved greatly.

Believe it or not after I posted my Post I actually put 06 back into my PS2 and played a little. It does have some really cool features bit for instance the Voice feature has got to be improved big time or do away with it. lol.

I really apprecite everybody who Replied and can now feel like I am not the ONLY one who had issues and disappointment with TW06.

Hey Doc do you play online at all? If so you should sign up here at the site. We have a great group of people and if TW 07 is better than 06 this will be a great place to find tournies, leagues, you name it. Hopefully you will join us.

Well, I for one, am glad to see that you picked up the game again. I have secretly hoped that the ol heads in this community that were disappointed & put the game down 10 months ago & have been here since forever would dust off the game & come hack the ball around with us for a little while before tw07 comes out. But, alas, that looks like it is not to be. They can be a stubborn bunch but I have the utmost respect for their choice & their opinion of the game. So, I play on as a senile newbie & enjoy every minute of it.

I like tw06, along with its usual disappointments, of course.

I was almost afraid to admit it because so many are disappointed until I read that spark in your eyes after you picked it up again. I have all voices/sounds turned off for the same reasons you mentioned. I have liked tw06 from the very beginning but I do listen to a different drummer. lol

It usually takes me 3 months to build up my character & get a hang of the game cause I belong to the same senior society as you.

So by the time I catch up to this crowd they have usually been playing online for awhile & they have tons of tips that takes me the whole year to try to get down.

Actually, the game takes on a whole new light when every hole you play seems like it is the first time you ever seen it.

But only the senile would understand that. lol I like the more challenging putting & the way the offline game taught me how to bend shots to build up gamebreakers. I had wished for some of the old courses but grew to like some of the new ones.

So, very nice to meet you, sir.

I hope you will join us for all the fun.

If you do, let us know your gamename. A more helpful, kinder community you will never meet.
