Seeking some tips for the WC version...

What camera angle do most of you guys use?  Action is default but I'm trying to find something a little better to see the field more especially on attacks.  Wide screen is good for that but the players look like ants almost. [:D]

Also, is there a way to take over my goal keeper so he can run out of the box and stop sitting back on everything?  Haven't figured out how to pick the ball back up as a goalie when you put it on the ground either.

Are there any advantages to certain control types (currently using classic digital dribble) or is it just whatever your comfortable with?

And finally, is there some key to hitting a power shot low?  No matter what I press when I use more than 3/4 power it goes sailing into the 20th row.

Thank you in advance. [8D]

I use the dynamic camera angle. For the wide screen did you change it in the options before stretching it on the TV?

When you hold down the triangle the goalie will come out and charge on a breakaway or to clear a loose ball outside of the box. The goalie is not allowed to pick up the ball after he puts it down..he also can't pick it up if you pass it back to him.

I use the default dribble...never tried the other one.

The shot meter fills up really fast..seems like most of the time you  just need to tap it for a low shot in the box.

Kelsoe -> RE: Tips and Tricks (6/25/2006 1:42:51 PM)

i use the dynamic camera view.. can be tweaked only in game by selecting camera option (raises height and angle).

triangle button makes the goalie charge. like irish said, soccer rules dont allow the goalie to pick the ball back up and can only pick it up from a teammate if its headed to him..

the default controls are the best.

the shot meter is not a 'power' meter. the amount of power on a shot is determined by alot of things (the person taking the shot mainly(some players are better at certain skills than others, this is noted by the star icon above his head instead of an arrow), his angle to the goal, which foot he uses to shoot with, wheteher or not he's walking, running or sprinting, if he's moving at all, etc).

the meter is a 'height' meter. the shorter the meter is the lower the shot will be and vice versa. tip: the meter moves very fast on 'one timers'.

I have highspeed internet, but I'm running through a router.  I have trouble connecting when I use the router and it gets very frustrating.  Some nights I can't connect at all.  I've heard of some things, like opening a port or something like that, but I'm not sure how or what to do.
Do you guys have any suggestions for me or a site that can help me out with this?  I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

also, when setting up a new network configuration , instead of clicking the "i have an isp" click the "LAN" option instead,( no one told me this until a few years later,) but the "LAN" is actually better (and intended for) a connection through a router.[&o] plus, opening and enabling the DMZ is important because it opens all the ports you need.

SlickRick -> RE: Tips and Tricks (6/29/2006 1:04:13 PM)

it's funny because we both have linksys routers, and unless we go direct, we can't connect at all - and we live freakin' 20 miles away from each other... [:'(]

but I've gone through the info provided and on sony's website and I'll reconfigure everything tonight...tyvm [8D]

SlickRick -> RE: Tips and Tricks (6/29/2006 7:09:12 PM)

ok I configured the ps2 per momo's info, I setup the info from "router support", but do I need the ps2 mac address for anything in particular?  right now, with the dmz enabled, my computer runs real slow... [:D]

SlickRick -> RE: Tips and Tricks (6/29/2006 7:16:45 PM)

ok I don't get it....I don't have the dmz enabled, but getting online was a snap - even faster than before..... [sm=damon_dunno.gif]

What if I changed my Router Admin password and I forgot.  Is there any way to retreive it?

How do you control the goalie during PKs on World Cup 06. I see how to jump, squat, crazy legs and wave arms. The only thing my goalie seems to do is either roll on the ground or just stand there.

You have to push the left stick in the direction you want him to dive and then press the circle button. Sometimes if you don't move soon enough he will just stand there.

L2 will cancel that third tap if you do hit it soon enough.

Also on PK's wait until you see the Kickers power meter fill up, once it stops and the guy starts moving towards the ball pick a side [8D]

Hey B, it takes about 3 weeks maybe a month to de-hockey yourself, eventually that extra tap will go away, once that does you won't be able to figure out why your extra defender in NHL won't react to the L1 button and come running over [:(]
