The game is awesome.Flying with the sixaxis controller is insane. So far ive fallen out of my chair 4 times and hit Zeb in the head twice. Also anyone who d/l it from the PSN store you can d/l the instruction manual from the official Warhawk website.

Sounds like me in Resistance!!

I had to turn the sixaxis off for flying cuz you'd have to use it for driving as well.

Dont know if i speak 4 every1 but playin this game was like the first time i played resistance hooked in a sec .  I will say tiger is better this ty then 07 but in no way did it grab me or get me hyped ( gamersnet does look cool ) . Guess after a while of a fast paced shootin game the golf just seems 2 drag a little 2 me. mayb if i could larrk o say PING (as allways) while he goes 4 a flop shot i would b into it more.

Hooked in a second? Pretty cool.  I'm also so used to the fast play of Resistance that building a CAG in TW08 is absolute torture.

Questions: What's the ground combat like? Is it even a factor in the game?  From one of the trailers it seemed that the main action takes place in the sky. Regarding air combat: Are you just targeting very tiny objects in the sky/ground from far away...or do you also get into any close up dog fights and perhaps see a full size building blow up?

Blowing up PING in TW and uploading it to gamernet would be sweet.

Ground combat is EVERY bit as important as air combat. I took out MANY planes from the ground with the rocket launcher, and flak guns Gun fights are fun, your reticle will stick to a target like the aim assist in resistance(just alittle more forgiving tho). Sniper rifle takes out vehicles as well

**In the lobby, the SCEA matches that show up in blue are the ranked games.**

Burtonboy and I checked it out today... split screen is distracting as hell .... I also found out our connection is good for 20 players....

Will take me a while to get used to the controls for sure.

Mole, there's no comparison to R:fom ground combat.  It has a whole different feel.

Although as Mx said, it's still every bit important.

You'll find you go from ground to air combat at different intervals, as enemies change strategy.

You spawn where YOU decide in most cases, you can steer free of a messy situation...

Spawn by a hover craft and try to sneek in to a ground combat situation, n watch as the bodies hit the floor!!!

Thanks Z.

Regarding fun factor. The best time I have playing R:FOM is in a team situation with you guys. I really dig the team effort thing. Shooting and blowing peeps up is a very close second.

Have you found anything in Warhawk yet that could perhaps be as fun or even more fun regarding team play? Lost any sleep over this new game yet?

In ways, this game is more fun to me than Resistance online.  NO more tag, just heat seeking missles... lol
No more "spawn/die, spawn/die"  Unless you're into that, then go ahead and spawn where the action is and get blown up.

Resistance offline is it's own entity, this game doesn't offer that.

Team play is more strategy than ever,
with the various "tools" laying around... tanks, jeeps, snipers, ground to air missles, a wicked knife swing, hover craft/planes
rocket launchers, grenades, a nasty flame thrower...  All this stuff means that the terrain is wide spread.  Anything can happen.

3 people can hop a jeep and barrel into enemy lines.

Haven't played any yet, but I'm sure CTF is a rush.  I'll start playing some more ranked stuff this weekend.

The guided missle goes really really fast when you hold R2 while flying it.    Found that out today.

Tap R2 twice to get a speed burst in flight.

Lack of sleep, to put it in perspective really, is hard to fathom.

Since I woke up tuesday morning at around 9am, I've gotten no more than 4 solid hours of sleep.
20 minutes tuesday night   -   maybe an hour and a half flying wednesday
45 minutes last night  -  maybe 2 hours during flights and in the airport today

Gotta get up in 5 hours from now so I'm finally gonna call it a night.  Heading home...

I'll try hosting some 4 player ranked stuff tomorrow and see how that goes.

I haven't seen a single connection issue yet either.

I've got a hunch, that if i host a ranked match, I won't be able to connect even with my 2nd PS3.

Saw something about "local" machines, like internet local...

They don't want the host to get the 0 ping, while everyone else gets 90-120 or something.

...I'll still try it out and report back.

A big thanks for all the info.  You twisted my arm.  Warhawk is downloading...at 20%.  Besides your "insomniac" behavior...what has also sold me on the download was the thought of blowing up Dendo's tanks.

-----------------

On a side note: I have yet to find the dynamite spawn in TW08 to kill gofers. Can you blow stuff up or set people on fire in Hot Shots Golf?

Heres the manual from the site you can d/l.

http://www.us.playstation.com/Warhawk/

Options for your character.aircraft and vehicles can be changed during game play.I thought that was a cool feature. You may be killed while doing this.

I downloaded the game and it's pretty cool.  Played a little online last night.

Question: This morning I tried to log on and it appears the servers are down...maybe for maintenance?
