Sometimes there aren't any cars near by.  I did a mission last night where i was in the middle of nowhere parked on some cliff.  There were no cars, it was a dirt road on the outskirts of the city.  Dicks just hopped in the car and left me there after doing the job.   My options were walk a mile or jump in the water and swim to a boat.

Status: offline 		Just finished a mission for Frank where we used a garbage truck ..... as usual after the mission I'm on foot again 
This time since were at the truck depot I decide Ill just "Borrow" one of the trucks .... then I set out to see of the Ladies of the Night like big trucks ..... I get to one of their neighborhoods and it starts to pour rain .... not a hooker in sight .... now I have a garbage truck parked outside of my Penthouse apartment though.

Status: offline 		I took Michelle on a date to the helicopter tour, the helicopter wasn't there so I thought she might like swimming.  We swam around for a while, I got out of the water but she couldn't. She died.

Got to the job where he wants a guy killed, but you have to steal a cop car to locate him.  Having no cars around Brucie's place, I called 911 for help, the cops showed up, got out of their vehicle to ask what I wanted, and then I took their vehicle.
