Yeh.  I was very surprised by his comment.  Your post on all the weapon pics in HAZE has me drooling. I sure hope it will be as good as R:FOM. That game is still fun to play.

Although my son has told me NOT to buy games in the past, I ended up doing it anyway and he ended up being right. It was a record year for games turned in. So much money lost.   


Regarding COD4...I'm 90% convinced to get it for my noisy 2nd 360 even after the first one blew up and had to be sent back to fix the rings of doom.  Why? The user base will be much larger...and my guess/hope is that most TGVer's will have the 360 version. Common...the 360 controller shakes and vibrates. Great for explosions and tank rumbles. The PS3 dual shock won't come out until Feb. Also, just think of all the cool XP points to collect.

I also just heard tonight that the PS3 version has been pushed back a couple of days to a week from Game Crazy.  I have it on reserve for the PS3...but am told there will be plenty of 360 copies on day one at that store...so I could get that version. Maybe Karl or someone else can check into this.

I call BS on this... press releases from Infinity Ward said all versions have gone "Gold" .... Im thinking the gamecrazy guy is a 360 owner.

Gold sounds good for both systems...but I know this guy and he has no reason to jerk my chain. They have a well stocked supply of PS3 games...new and used...and a very nice monitor to play PS3 games on.  BS sounds good though.

Status: online 		Well the parent company of game crazy did just go chapter 11..... maybe they had to delay it there because of credit issues..... everything Im still reading says 11/5 ship on all versions.

Status: offline 		I have decided to change my preorder for this game to the 360 and get Haze when it comes out for the PS3 in late November.I will also be getting UT3 when it comes out and that would be 3 games for the PS3 and i know that we all wont be playing 3 or 4 games online at a time.I will rent COD4 for the PS3 at first just for some online gameing.

A member over at the AVS Forums got his copy of the game yesterday for the PS3 (wonder how he got the store to break the release date) he is posting screen shots from in game.... they look awesome

Sorry, just got settled and had a chance take screenies (okay and play a little bit =p ).

Forgive the poor quality, never tried taking pictures of games before.. if anyone has any tips let me know. (It's hard when there's no pause)







Woah, crazy. Don't really care if someone else claims that they're theirs.. just wanted to give back to my AVS buddies.






Okay guys, sorry to do this but I gotta sleep! Last one before bed..



gzagza: from what I could tell, you would just choose the game type and then be automatically joined in a game - however as others have said, there aren't really any games being hosted right now so i'm not 100% sure on that.

benkrishman: sorry missed that before, it lists 720p, 1080i and 1080p

overall gameplay thoughts so far: good pace of action/rest, although the firefights are getting intense and harder already (regular difficulty). squad AI seems pretty decent so far, as SAS you are a follower but as USMC it plays as though you're the leader. huge selection of weapons (m4a1, ak-47, mp5, shotgun, rpg, tow missile launcher, sniper rifle to name a few). i do wish it showed more of a cutscene view of the few rappels so far, but i guess 1st person is the game's style.

Status: offline 		Anyone with a PS3 should make that their first priority for UT3.  PS3 will have the capability to merge with the PC game - allowing the players to play against and utilize options from the PC side.... the 360 edition will not do this + it comes out in mid '08, not '07 like the PS3/PC.

That has neither been confirmed or totally denied by Epic..... they are unsure at this point if cross platform capabilities will be included in the released game.
The major difference between the 2 is the ability to use mods..... Epic already will include a PC mod tool with the PS3 game version either on the disc somehow or as a download from their site...... any and all user modified maps they make available from the Epic site will be easilly converted to the PS3 format..... ( its just a different save option in the User interface).

I think thats what I meant... the map editor.  Word has it that the 360 will not have this 'cross platform' capability and the PS3 definately will.
