Post here if you've reached Prestige Mode

Just unlocked it[sm=1smilie_smoke_cowboy.gif][sm=1smilie_roses2.gif]
Not sure if I'm gonna start over again just yet or keep trying for more challenges.

Is there any benefit to going through it again; and can you choose to do this whenever you want once it's unlocked or do they make you decide right away?

I guess the benifit is knowing your real good at the game and also that others by you rank symbol know you on your next trip through.
You can choose to restart or stay at level 55 ... on the other console there is one guy who is on his 10th time through ... rank symbols change each time you go through...[&o]

Yeah, no real benefit to going through again... you just get a nifty little icon and get to do all the challenges over again. As I understand it, you don't have to go presitge mode straight away.

Decided to go through Prestige mode at least once[:(]. After this one, I won't do it again at least until I get all the challenges completed.[8D]

Ive made it to level 55.When does it ask me if i want to do prestige mode.

You need 5001 exp points to unlock it.... like going up a level. [&o]

I was going to go ahead and try and finish all of the challenges, but I couldn't see putting all of those xp to waste.

Is that the shiney pistol?  Somehow I unlocked it before I reached level 20.

Mild achievement two nights ago - Reached 1.00 win / loss record.  Got to 130 wins & 130 losses.
Won 7 straight (although it didn't add 7 to my streak [:D]).... got 1 up...  then consequently lost the very next game.

It's tough being on top.  [:(]  Unless we're discussing sex...  [:D]  ...we're not.

The golden desert eagle is actually a gold plated desert eagle that you get when u hit level 54 or 55 I can't remember which. I got it myself but I didn't remember doing anything special to get it, that's why it leads me to think that you get it for just being that lvl. There's other golden weapons too like the golden AK-47 that you get for completeing all the assault challenges.[8D]

I have a second account (Licenced2Kill) where I have almost a 1.0 win/loss. I have 11 wins and 12 losses[:(]. All FFA only matches and there's a few losses that are from the host ending game thingy that happens[sm=1smilie_mad6.gif]
But yeah... 130 wins/losses[sm=1smilie_clap.gif][sm=1smilie_clap.gif] Well done.[8D]

There is silver desert eagle and a gold one.I think theres a gold ak-47 too.

MX was 30 seconds faster me.[:(]

I can unlock prestige right now but won't. The first guy to finish prestige level 10 on the XBOX 360 got nothing for it. He was not happy...thinking he might unlock something special...anything. Infinity Ward locked that thread after his post. He did not say anything bad against IW...and was not censored. I believe IW goofed up prestige mode. They could have thrown in special camos/soldier outfits to unlock for those that complete a prestige mode...like R:FOM.

I enjoy the weapons and perks too much to let go of them and start over. Right now I'm finishing the challenge to unlock the ACOG scope for the M14. This is a great rifle for me...since I don't move as fast as you guys through the maps....especially with my tendonitis from sprinting too much mashing down L3. [:(] The M14 only takes two shots for a kill. [8D] Very similar to a sniper rifle...but you can move around more. I also really like the silver/gold eagle pistol. Prestige offers nothing of interest imo.
 
Ranking up was fun...but the weapons and perks at higher levels makes the game more enjoyable.

Last...I would think you could rank up again for fun using a different profile/gamertag at no cost on the PS3. It costs money on the 360. [:@]

[:D]I noticed there is a golden shot gun to but i have been trying to unlock it, it might take awhile though need to complete all the shotgun challenges. seen someone killing me with it so i had to look see how they got it. [:D]

Yea you need all the kills and all the headshots to unlock the Golden guns ..... [8D]

Well I spent a couple months at the original level 55 supreme commander before I decided.
...once I did, my play time went into overdrive, and eventually my eyes we're glazed on the Goldcross.
I love the game enough, I figured it was the right thing to do.  It will be nice to get it maxed out.

Finally!!!!  I'm on the last prestige.  [sm=fighting_gunsmilie.gif]
