Because it might not be worth the $60. I played GTA3 a few years back thought it was great, wnet out and bought it, then played it quite a bit for a month and then it just fizzled and lost its novelty for me. Wondering if having multiplayer option would keep a fresh spin on it or not. I don't know if this would be a game I would find offline replayability multiple times after I finish it like I find replayability with (for example) a Final Fantasy offline title. I know its not the same kind of game, but having some replayability offline is what is a keeper for a game like this for me.
