I tried to join you guys but when I did I got stuck in a room with some guy I didn't know.
It was wierd, I could hear HAze talking before I got in and then he wasn't there.
I bailed and went to bed.
I plan on getting some MP time in tonight.

Not quite the rumbling I had in mind when I bought the new Dualshock 3 but it was good for a laugh.

I'm a few hours into the 360 version atm,... overall I'm quite pleased with it.  It's not a 10 imho... but definately a 9+.

This game is great.  The story is decently written and the voice acting is pretty good. Graphics are great and the gameplay's pretty solid.
I've played about 8 hours of it and only had one freezing incident 7 minutes into the game, nothing since.  Only played one multiplayer deathmatch but that's pretty fun too.

Definitely worth the wait.

Who here thinks Niko is a rip-off of the Bosnian Special Ops guy chasing after Owen Wilson in the movie Behind Enemy Lines....?  Not "rip-off" in a bad way... but the simularities are quite striking.

Still firmly on the fence.  Keep up the reviewing.

Because of the freezing or because you think it might not be worth the $60 in gameplay?...

Because it might not be worth the $60.

I played GTA3 a few years back thought it was great, wnet out and bought it, then played it quite a bit for a month and then it just fizzled and lost its novelty for me.  Wondering if having multiplayer option would keep a fresh spin on it or not.

I don't know if this would be a game I would find offline replayability multiple times after I finish it like I find replayability with (for example) a Final Fantasy offline title.  I know its not the same kind of game, but having some replayability offline is what is a keeper for a game like this for me.

If replay is the issue just buy it, beat it, and trade it back in.  I think EBGames is giving full trade in value for GTA for a few weeks after release (they are here anyway).

after about 10 and a half hours into the offline game I have a good reply to it.So far this is the best version BY FAR of the GTA games.I have played and beat all of them exept San Andreas,I just played it about halfway through and didnt care for the storie line. This could be the best game EVER made IMO.I am so into the offline storie that I havent been accepting invites and prolly wont accept them for a while.I might give the online a go for a while tonight if anyone wants to do some team deathmatches.  With that said I have to give this game a 10++++++

I like the game, alot.  But with as many bugs and issues there's no way I can give it a 10.  10 is PERFECTION and I've never seen a perfect game.  Take away the freezing and corrupt game save problems and I'd give it a 9.5.  With those problems I give it an 8.5.  Those are some pretty significant issues if you are faced with them so 8.5 might be a bit generous.  Even if I wasn't faced with them I'd have to consider them when giving a score because the issue is there for some, and, it sucks.

Haven't played since Vice City, glad we picked up a copy.

Blake is 45% through the 360 version and he has not had one problem yet.Now I am wishing I would have got the 360 version even though i havent had any problems with the PS3 yet.I did get a freeze up last night but when I looked at the disk there were about 5 finger prints on the disk where Taylor has taken it out and put other games in.After a long talk about that he wont be touching the blue part of the disk anymore.

I got him pimped out in a black suit.   But, ya, they look quite similar in those pics.  Even in different outfits, they have similar facial features.
