Don't do all 9 unless you can't get it to work. Just turn off internet connections, screensaver, media sharing, information bar, and delete the internet cache. That should do it. Some have done it by just disabling the ps3's internet connection. I had all of those options already turned off except for internet and deleting the cache.

This also happened to me yesterday but it was bad. It froze up on the load screen so I hit the PS and quit the game. Then the PS3 froze up loading the XMB...awww ****. It rebooted itself and then came up with a message "rebuilding database".[:@] I was about to crap my pants but after about 5 mins everything came back just fine. Now I just disconnect from the PSN before I start the game and it loads just fine.
