Looking to drive the ball long and straight? Trying to nail the pin with the approach shot? An all-new addition to this year’s game, Haney will assist gamers as they hit the links and try to advance their career to win the FedExCup. In Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09, a player’s skill level is dynamic, constantly adjusting throughout the round just as it would during a real afternoon out on the links. Following each round, Haney will deliver customized feedback on a player’s performance. This feedback system allows all gamers, rookies or PGA TOUR pros, to compete and enjoy the game at any level.

EA SPORTS GamerNet is a ground-breaking online innovation that features a refined, easy-to-use interface in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09. EA SPORTS GamerNet challenges, such as long drive, approach shots and putting will be delivered instantly throughout all game modes and players will have the ability to post their challenges from the fairways. EA SPORTS GamerNet also features an all-new daily leaderboard and challenges customized to fit an individual’s playing style.

Online play has also been enhanced with Simultaneous Play. This all-new online engine gives up to four players the ability to play each hole at the same time, allowing players to get in a rhythm, swing when they are ready and make one round of golf even faster and more competitive than ever before possible.

Developed in Orlando, Fla., by EA Tiburon, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 will be available on August 26 on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system, the PlayStation®2 and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment systems, the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and Wii™.

Looks like EA Tiburon has kicked it up several notches. [:)] I especially like the club tunning feature.

I played 07 to death on the PS3...passed on the 08 season...but will prolly go 360 Tigger in August. [8D]

five new courses have been added to this year's game, raising the total number to 16: Gary Player Country Club in South Africa, Wentworth Country Club in England, Sheshan Golf Club in China, Wolf Creek in Nevada and Bay Hill in Florida.

Wonder if this is for the next gen versions ???

Interesting.  I think 07 was the absolute worst they've done.  08 I liked, but online was iffy.. Still was decent.  From the vids Spec put up it looks similar to 08 but that club tuning feature looks nice and simultaneous play option could be very interesting.  HSG has that option and its quick and fun.  I'm almost to the point that I wish they didn't have boost option anymore... the spin option definitely needs to go.

SlickRick -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/21/2008 6:18:47 PM)

Ask Mr. NSNB - it's the only way to play. [8D]

Tayty34 -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/21/2008 6:22:17 PM)

I would agree with you Rick but the thing is that the spin and boost options have allways been there.As a matter of fact on TW99 you could actually control the balls flight path in the air.Its allways been there and thats the way most of us have allways played.I could get used to it but why remove it if its allways been there?

SlickRick -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/21/2008 6:23:09 PM)

SW was saying he wished it wasn't an option anymore.  I simply stated play it like Mr. NSNB and I do: Tour Mode.

SlickRick -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/21/2008 6:25:13 PM)

Of course, a lot of guys love to play default - hence the Monday Night Grip 'n Rip tourney. [8D]

Tayty34 -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/21/2008 6:28:13 PM)

Thats exaxctly why the tour mode option is there.I do enjoy a good tour mode game every once in a while also.I think we played quite a few tour mode games on TW07 and we would rotate.I am getting alot more interested in 09 the more i read about it.The bad thing is that I get this way every year until I get the game and play a match or 2 of online with glitches and other server problems.If only another company would take it over we might get a good online play for a change right out of the box and not after 10 or 20 patches.[:-]

Are you talking about the 360 version or the PS3 version? I didn't play online with the PS3 version but I have no problems online with the 360.

Tour Mode rules. [&o]

Yeah! only 4 years after Links 2004 had the same feature. [:(] catch up EA.

FM6CT -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/22/2008 6:30:31 AM)

It (Simultaneous Play) was also a feature of the PC game .... called "Ready Play" .... was one of the things that if you had it turned on caused all kinds of lag issues and frame rate problems..... everyone turned it off .... hopefully it wont affect the consoles the same way.

SwAeromotion -> RE: Tiger 09, First Info and Media (6/22/2008 6:36:49 AM)

Tiger 08 on the PSP has Simultaneous play.  While I didn't play a whole lot of games online, the ones I did all played okay.

And yes Tiger PC had the Ready-Play feature that did this same thing, but it was turned off by nearly everyone for the reasons above.

I read that they aren't even making a PC game for Tiger this year.
