it might not be the speed, but it is the timing. The same problem happened in guitar hero III.

But I guess you don't have this problem or your tv would have already been in a bunch of pieces.

Nope I had a prob like that went from a 19'' hdtv to a 47'' could not shoot 4 crap went and got a 32'' and im happy with it.

I thought about smashin it....

While it's not about advanced... I'll say something about the High Definition.... I had been playing on a regular 32 inch screen. I moved it over last night to by HD 50 inch screen at 1080i... WOW, I can see everything so much better. I was actually hitting better on advanced shot even though I sucked later playing AZ but I could definitely see better. I'm going to try out the traditional tonight to see how it looks.

I just want to update this, but I finally played this game on a regular 20" tv (instead of my 52: sony). Tradtional is way easier now. The timing of some HDTV's do have a serious effect on the bar. I just wanted to confirm this because there is a difference.

And I would rather play traditional now.
