Got my first Emperor victory (Economic) with the French.  I never built a 2nd city and made Paris a "super-city".

I've been getting some time in lately and have the first three difficultlies done (chieftan, warlord and king); and 3 of the 4 on emperor (need culture  ).

My latest favorite is the Aztecs.  Having "instant heal after battle" and "temples create +3 science" has been great for suriving to the end (at the very least  ) in the emperor level.

Hopefully they fix the online soon... this could be a fun one

I haven't done it, but you can uninstall the 1.10 patch and the multiplayer will work, but I'm not sure what else would change.

Hey Dubs... right after we finished our game I went to the Game of the Week.  Check this out ....

Deity Technological Victory
SS MOMOwheeler arrived to Alpha Centari in 1980
2 turns before it got there I completed the Apollo Program and started researching Future Tech
I did it all with only 1 city (1970 stats below from a pic I took)- I even stored away Artists and didnt use them to convert new cities.

"Balanced" Population the entire time
+22 Pop
+104 Worker
+129 Culture
+672 Science

The irony of it all is that I was not the number 1 city ... some craphole in France (like I said, they kill everytime) was and the only reason it wasnt Paris is because everytime he settled a GP I stole it

Anywho, wanted to share this expereince - it was a very fun game (and quite fast - I wasnt attacked more than 3 times until I launched the space station).

Went thru again today between writting essays... practiced dominating on King level to better prepare for online games.  Got it done in 1986... maybe this one will post to the leaderboard (it didnt post immediately after - maybe this process takes over a day????)

My "I have it" post.  I think most of you knew that since SW told you, but my post count is low.    Very fun!  Would love to play someone!

Won the GOTW on my first try yesterday (Deity - Tech Win)

I also had the best (stats wise) single player game I've had shortly following that:

I had 3 of the 4 modes completed with the Americans (not all on deity) and needed an Econ win (Deity).  It was the first time I was ever ranked #1 (Above Winston Chruchill)... was turning 1600+ gold at the end and the town (Detroit) that build the bank was turning +77 production (American modern factory bonus).

Well it's confirmed... the DLC is only available to people who purchased their game the week it came out - AND only at Gamestop, Best Buy and Target.

I can understand pre-order perks... but this is just plain stupid
