I've been following the reviews and previously all the hands on articles and as far as the game play goes there have hardly been any complaints about this game at all. Some calling it the best sports game ever. The demo was one of the best I have ever played. Time to put up the golf spike and lace up the skates. I know I am only NHL 09 fan #2 here

but I can't wait!!!!!

I'm still holding out hope for today!

Best Buy's ad this weekend said today by 2pm. I just checked their website and searched for NHL 09. Last night when I looked it said "coming soon". Today it actually gives you the link to check for in store availability. While none of the locl stores have it yet it's a hopeful sign, combined with the ad that they may get it today.

It's all making sense now.........in fact ll these stores did screw up. NHL 09 is listed with a ship date not a street date. Big games like Madden, NCAA, Gears,etc all have street dates which means the stores get them days in advance so they can sell them ON the day it hits the "street". Unfortunately "lesser" gmes like NHL have ship dates (today) so they'll be on UPS trucks tomorrow.

Yup, unfortunately this is playing out like previous years. I ALWAYS remember 2K dropping their game on a Tuesday and NHL hitting the stores a day later. The ironic thing about it is that one of the only people here at TGV who could snag it today is E$

. I checked Operation Sports where thee is always a thread for who's got the new games and the only people that are able to get their hands on it are Canadians

Why? Because it's an important game up there, unlike the basketball loving heathens down here!

I'm resigned to the fact tha it will wait until tomorrow...Oh well.

I have called my GS now three different times from three different phone number and spoke to three different people. Each one of them have confirmed it is NHL09 by EA sports for the 360. If I don't have this tonight I may indeed cry.

I went by 5 different stores at lunch and they all say it isn't out till tomorrow or thursday.
