And for the record, I don't think you're going to get anybody to tell you what console to get it for, that's just asking for trouble IMO.  Just man up and make a decision and live with it.

Come on T, you asking for someone else to make that decision for you is just asking for trouble....if you have any problems with either one, then they automatically become a scapegoat.  Make a decision and live with it is my best advice.

Ok after 2 online games and 1 round on the daily tourney I have come up with a quick opinion. The first game I played was a tour game and i didnt know it was tour until i hit the first drive.I actually won the game and it was a simultanious stroke game.Very smooth for the PS3 and it went well. The second game was against the second  person I ever played a game online against and was in 04.It just happened to be Shyster07 from S&S league and our 19th hole league.we played stroke play the normal style and it went almost as smooth as the other way.I did seem to have some problems seeing his ball inhj flight and where it landed at times, but the connection was great. The game does remind me some of TW05 but the distances are a little shortyer.TYou used to drop 2 clubs from the hole and full boost it.Now if you do that you are gonna be 20 or 30 yards short.I was pleased with my play especially since when I played the daily I lost atributes down to 11.2/10.4/10.6/and 10.9. Other then that the game is great IMO right now.I went with an 8 for now but it will prolly jump to a 9 if it stays this smooth.

I think I've come to the decision to buy the game....BUT, for the Wii so that my wife and I will enjoy it.  She doesn't really have much interest in PS3, so the Wii will be a good option to make sure the game doesn't just collect dust.

If you do get it for the Wii if you don't mind keep me posted on it.  If it is fun i would like to get it for my son and me to play.

Played a bunch of online games yesterday, no major issues, only 1 boost glitch and 2 laggy greens, pretty much ran smoothly, simultaneous play is the bomb, connected to everyone, this game might be back for me if the daily starts working correctly 9/10

Well I have been playing this game for a week now and so far I like it. The best part is how smooth the 4 person simultaneous play works. This has been a lot of fun playing with fellow TGVers. I am not in love with the club tuning feature, which seams a little tedious to me but it does give people the option to play the game the way they want to which is fine with me. I hope there will be some people who want to play some Tour mode matches in addition to Grip and Rip. 9/10

Ended up giving it an 8. I like the game, and I'm glad I bought it.

Fixes needed for TW10 (IMHO):
1. Connectivity issues
2. Shorten the driver (330-350)
3. Get rid of losing attributes 'feature'
4. Daily tourney functionality restored (I'd prefer no starting over)
5. Make turbo obsolete
6. Make a six axis go straight like a Hori or Intec

Thats cant be fixed by EA.The turbo controler companys will have to quit makeing them for that to happen. And thats when I quit playing TW games.

I don't see any connectivity issues, which is a vast improvement.

The club distances definitely need to be WAAAAY shorter.  This is nearly like 05 with snappy.

I just question how you can call for #5 (make turbo obsolete), but then you ask for a controller that is not sensitive and hits straight.  It's the same difference in having an advantage on the aftermarket controller.  If I were to move to an old Intec or the HORI, I would benefit more from the straight hitting analogs moreso than the turbo function.

I like the attribute feature in that I am loving Tour Pro mode and in that way you are rewarded accordingly to how you played.  The club distances play realistic in this mode.   Over time I have come to like the arcadey-ness less and less of this series, but it has been a welcome addition in 09 to come to appreciate and like the Tour mode play.

I moved up my rating from a 6 to a 7.

Turbo is obsolete if you think about it... There's 2 power boost buttons.. You can hit one with each hand; tapping full should honestly be no biggie for anyone at this point

Agreed.  Although I do just tap with the L1.  It is hard enough for me to tap out how I want on a shot with a 30s% sweet spot and giving up distance and try to keep it straight... I cannot imagine the ugly shanks I would have if I were to go all the way out and have my sweet spot % down around 10% or so.

I gave it an 8...

If the distances weren't so ridiculous I could give it a 9...so far it seems like a good game

My exact same view bro.I also think the par 3 distances change dramaticaly between courses.I find myself getting so mad and frustrated when I have a 178 yard par 3 and the hole is about 40 feet up and I have an 8 iron that has the target landing area about 10 foot behind the whole and I full loft it with about 6 taps and the ball lands about 10 yards in front of the green. That is realy my worse gripe other then the length you can hit the ball off the tee.

It gets an 8 from me ONLY because of the insane club distances.  If they could patch that, and lock the clubs at like 75% (for power only) then it would be a 10/10- all day for me.  Not to mention the cheapo bastards can only include 16 courses EVERY year.  How dare they remove Spyglass and Pinehurst, and Bandon...**** it...How dare they remove any of them.  Something has got to be done about the club distances...I think it is bringing the enjoyment of the game down slightly for me...  I hate to see 80% of par 4's driven onto the green.  I love the new simultaneous play, and you can't beat the factg that if you are laying a regular mode, you can't see the opponent's club selection, shape stick, boost, or lie.  No more shot jacking noobs!!!   I am having fun with it though.  I must also say I'm not crazy about the fact that your stats can go back down with poor online play, but at least they included a few bonus items with which your stats don't track so they won't go down offline.  Oh yeah, the amount of people who quit during a game or accuse you of cheating while you hash trhem up is bad, but that ain't the games fault.  If they just did something about these "rocket clubs" and threw me the 5 courses we ost from last year (and the one from the year before) my trust for EA would be right back where it was in 2004.  Thank you for reading this barely coherent, poor grammar, borderline illiterate rant!

I like the game, but, just need to vent about the idiocy of losing attributes.  Shooting a 44 and missing one fairway dropped me .2 in power.  I've since hit 36 straight fairways offline with a 415yd average drive yet the power won't go up.  Not like I need that extra 1 yard I lost, but, it's the principle. 53 of 54 fairways apparently isn't good enough.
